DANGEROUS and
DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS
Products liability
involves an area of the law where victims seek
damages for injuries or death caused by defective
and unreasonably dangerous products. The products
may be for personal and household use (i.e.
automobiles, ladders, or car seats) or industrial
use (i.e. factory machinery).
Products are assumed
to be safe for anticipated uses under normal
conditions. Some products, however, may be
unreasonably dangerous, either due to an engineering
defect or a manufacturing defect. Investigations
of these claims usually require experts with
education, training and experience in specialized
technical, mechanical and engineering fields.
