 Sue Gabbe RN
Sue Gabbe Cass RN graduated
from the University of Rochester, Rochester NY in 1968
with a BSN in Nursing, Her clinical experience includes
eighteen years of hospital practice in the specialty of
Maternal-Child Health in NY, OH, MI and RI, During these
years, she was both a direct care-giver and nurse
manager in general pediatrics, pediatric psychiatry,
pediatric oncology,
pediatric respiratory and infectious disease, obstetrics
and neonatal intensive care. As a nurse manager,
she was particularly interested in establishing
standards for patient care and served on numerous
departmental and hospital-wide committees.
Since 1985, Ms. Cass has
been employed as a medical-legal consultant with the
firm. In this
capacity, she has participated in the processing of
countless cases, focusing on cancer cases as
well as
pediatric and obstetric claims. She serves as the intake
coordinator, handling the majority of initial client
contacts, She has also been a guest speaker for trial
lawyer organizations, nursing organizations and college
nursing programs on subjects including preparation of a
medical negligence case assessment and use of
medical records, and medical literature and legal
issues for nurses.
